Bhringaraj Powder, 100g
Every person's skin is unique, and even naturally derived ingredients may not be suitable for everyone. We recommend performing a patch test before first use of any cosmetic product, regardless of the brand, particularly if you have sensitive or reactive skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
Description: Ground leaves of the Bhringaraj plant—a green powder with a mild herbal scent. Bhringaraj is an Ayurvedic plant from the aster family that thrives in damp areas, growing in India and many other parts of the world as a weed. It features lance-shaped, hairy leaves and white flowers. Its name translates to "king of hair," and it is also commonly known as false daisy.
Benefits: Bhringaraj powder is one of the most revered Ayurvedic plants for hair and scalp care. Traditionally used in India as a herbal hair tonic, it helps improve the appearance of hair and promotes a sense of stronger, shinier, and deeply nourished locks. It is frequently included in natural hair masks, oil treatments, and herbal scalp preparations.
Bhringaraj helps enhance hair vitality, contributing to more manageable, soft, and smooth hair. It is especially popular for dry, damaged, and brittle hair, as it helps reduce dryness and tangling. It acts as a natural hair conditioner and improves overall hair structure.
Traditionally, it is also utilized as a natural colorant for darker hair, as regular use can enhance and enrich darker tones. Leaving it on the hair for longer periods deepens this dark color effect, making it particularly suitable for brown and dark hair types. It pairs wonderfully with other Ayurvedic plants such as Amla, Brahmi, Shikakai, Tulsi, and Neem.
Instructions for use: We recommend wearing protective clothing and gloves to avoid staining skin and fabrics.
-
Hair mask: Mix Bhringaraj powder with warm water to form a smooth paste (you can also combine it with other herbal powders). Massage the paste into the scalp using circular motions, then work it out toward the hair ends. Leave on for up to 15 minutes, rinse with water, and wash with a natural shampoo or Aritha powder.
-
Hair oil: Simmer Bhringaraj powder in coconut oil, strain, and let cool to create a nourishing hair oil. Regular application imparts shine, a healthy look, and strength to the hair.
Warning: Not suitable for blonde, light, or bleached hair, as it may darken them unless that is your desired effect. We recommend performing a patch test on a hidden strand of hair. When preparing herbal powders and clays, avoid using metal utensils or bowls, as they can react with the metal material and alter the product chemically. It is best to use wooden or ceramic tools.
