Lavender Oil
Origin: Slovenia.
Purpose of use: For scenting rooms using a vaporizer.
Description and use: Obtained by steam distillation of lavender flowers. It is pale yellow in color with a hint of green and has a characteristic sweet, green scent. It has a calming effect and can be used to reduce tension or stress and for restful sleep. It relieves skin problems, helps relieve pain and inhibit inflammation in burns, and also accelerates healing and reduces the size of scars. It can act against pain, as an antidepressant, against cramps, against unpleasant odors, as a diuretic. It helps with rheumatism, intestinal gas, bile problems and colds.
Oils that can be mixed with: laurel, bergamot, chamomile, citronella, clary sage, geranium, jasmine, lemon, tangerine, orange, palmarosa, pine, thyme, rosemary, rosewood, ylang ylang.
