Organic Tea Tree Essential Oil, 10ml / 100ml

Description and Uses: Obtained through steam distillation of tea tree leaves. It is pale yellow or colorless and has a very fresh, medicinal scent with characteristic herbal and menthol undertones. It is known for strongly stimulating the immune system. Massage with (diluted) tea tree oil before surgery can strengthen the body and reduce post-operative shock. Used in a vaporizer, it can help with colds, measles, sinus inflammation, and viral infections. In skin and hair care products, it excels in treating acne-prone, problematic, and oily skin, removes dandruff, and helps against lice.

Oils with which it can be blended: cinnamon, clary sage, cloves, geranium, lavender, lemon, myrrh, nutmeg, rosewood, rosemary, and thyme.

Fun Facts: The tea tree is a small tree or shrub with narrow leaves that can grow up to 7 meters high. It thrives in swampy soils and is now widely cultivated in plantations. It is a very hardy tree, and for oil production, it is pruned every two years. Tea tree oil was used long ago by Australian Aborigines, and it has also been used for a long time in aromatherapy. It was so valued during World War II that tea tree harvesters were exempt from military service until enough essential oil was produced. Every soldier and sailor was then given it as part of their emergency kit to help with infected wounds and tropical diseases.
