Intended Use: For room scenting using a vaporizer.

Description and Uses: Obtained through steam distillation of melissa leaves. It is pale yellow in color and has a fresh, herbal, tart-sweet scent that slightly resembles lemon and mint. It is used as an aid against depression, for calming, against cramps, against bloating, and also supports the heart, nerves, and stomach. It is effective in relieving cold sores (herpes), ulcers, fungal infections, and headaches, and is also known for enhancing memory capacity.

Oils with which it can be blended: Basil, frankincense, geranium, chamomile, rose, lavender, and ylang ylang.

Fun Facts: Melissa (lemon balm) is a green shrub with fragrant leaves that grows primarily in the Mediterranean and is cultivated in many places around the world; it is also popular as a potted plant. Outdoors, it grows up to 150 cm high, and in the summer, it bears many tiny white flowers full of nectar that attract bees.
