Description: Ranging in color from light grey to brownish-pink with a very fine texture, this mineral-rich clay is harvested from the fertile soils of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco and has been used for centuries across North Africa, Southern Europe, and the Middle East. It is naturally rich in magnesium, potassium, silica, and calcium, alongside trace amounts of iron, aluminum, and sodium. This high-quality, highly absorbent clay swells significantly upon contact with water, creating a rich, silky texture ideal for cleansing masks and natural shampoos.

Instructions for Use:

Preparation: Mix the clay with warm purified water or a hydrosol (it pairs especially well with rose hydrosol) and let it stand for 5 to 10 minutes to allow the clay to fully absorb the liquid.

Skin care: Apply the damp clay evenly to cleansed facial or body skin. For extra nourishment, you can add a spoonful of quality vegetable oil and a few drops of essential oil. Leave on for up to 10 minutes (if no oil was added, the layer will dry), rinse thoroughly with water, and follow up with a toner or hydrosol and a moisturizing cream or oil.

Hair care: Apply the damp clay to wet hair and massage thoroughly into the scalp. Leave on for at least 10 minutes, then add a bit of water, massage to lather slightly, and rinse thoroughly. Because of its natural cleansing and degreasing properties, extra shampooing is not required (though you can follow with a natural conditioner if desired).
Warning: When preparing herbal powders and clays, avoid using metal utensils or bowls (such as spoons or dishes), as they can react with the metal material and alter the product chemically. It is best to use wooden or ceramic tools.
