Description and Uses: Cold-pressed from tangerine peels. It is yellow-orange in color and has a typical citrus scent—fresh, warm, and pleasantly sweet. It is quite reminiscent of mandarin essential oil, except that it is lighter and sweeter. It acts as an antispasmodic, promotes skin healing, calms, tones the skin, has a positive effect on the stomach, and cleanses and detoxifies.

Oils with which it can be blended: Basil, bergamot, cinnamon, clary sage, cloves, frankincense, lavender, lemon, lime, neroli, and orange.

Fun Facts: The tangerine is a close relative or subspecies of the mandarin, with the difference that the fruits are a darker orange color, seedless, and harvested at a different time of year. Native to China, where they are highly valued and traditionally used in local culture and herbal medicine, they are now cultivated in many parts of the Mediterranean and the USA.
