Sandalwood Essential Oil, 5ml
Every person's skin is unique, and even naturally derived ingredients may not be suitable for everyone. We recommend performing a patch test before first use of any cosmetic product, regardless of the brand, particularly if you have sensitive or reactive skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
Manufacturer: Biopark Cosmetics
Origin: India.
Intended Use: For room scenting using a vaporizer.
Description and Uses: Obtained through steam distillation of sandalwood wood. It is nearly transparent or orange-brown in color and has a rich, woody, sweet scent. It acts as an anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, and diuretic. It promotes scar healing, has astringent properties, and tightens the skin. It helps with expectoration and improves memory. In cosmetics, it nourishes dry and cracked skin, and is also suitable for acne-prone skin and eczema. In aromatherapy, it brings good cheer and is used as an aphrodisiac. The older the tree when prepared for distillation, the richer the oil's fragrance, which continues to improve with age if stored properly.
Oils with which it can be blended: Numerous oils, such as cloves, lavender, geranium, patchouli, jasmine, benzoin, bergamot, clary sage, coriander, cypress, fennel, frankincense, myrrh, palmarosa, black pepper, and peppermint.
Fun Facts: Sandalwood is an evergreen tree that grows as a parasite—sinking its roots into other trees and growing up to 9 meters high. It features a brownish-gray trunk, numerous thin branches, leathery leaves, and pinkish-purple flowers. It takes up to 60 or even 80 years for a tree to fully mature, at which point it is ideal for oil production. Sandalwood is especially revered in Hinduism, where it is considered a sacred tree and used in ceremonies, births, weddings, and more. It was known 4,000 years ago in India, Egypt, Greece, and Rome, and many temples were built directly from sandalwood. Today, it is used exclusively for oil distillation, and during branch harvesting, trees are left for 30 years to recover.
Warnings: Read the label carefully before use and follow the instructions for use! For external use only, not for ingestion. Do not apply undiluted to the skin.
Composition: Santalum Album
Vegan – Does not contain ingredients of animal origin
Packaging: Biopark Cosmetics essential oils are stored in special dark violet glass (Violet glass), which exceptionally protects them from the entry of daylight, something that other dark-colored glass cannot do. Plants need light for growth and development—once they reach maturity, the degradation process begins in the light. Therefore, top-quality packaging is important for top-quality products. Our packaging exclusively allows violet light to pass through, which the plant essential oils inside need to maintain the same quality over the long term and preserve all of their bio-energy.
