Description and Uses: Obtained through steam distillation of pine needles. It is pale yellow in color and has a fresh, woody, sweet resinous evergreen scent. It refreshes, revitalizes, stimulates, and restores strength. In aromatherapy, it is very popular as an addition to baths for invigorating tired muscles. It can help with arthritis, muscle or joint pain, gout, and rheumatism. It is particularly good as an aid for respiratory diseases, and is also said to help with hepatitis, inflamed gallbladder or bladder, or the urinary tract.

Oils with which it can be blended: Intense aromas are created when blended with the following oils: clary sage, citronella, coriander, cypress, eucalyptus, frankincense, juniper, lavender, myrrh, rosemary, spikenard, and tea tree.

Fun Facts: This evergreen conifer grows up to 40 meters tall and has a flat-topped crown. The bark is reddish-brown, the tree has orange-yellow flowers and pointed brown cones, and dense grey-green needles grow in pairs. The scent of pine needle essential oil often evokes the aroma of northern forests. It has been used for a very long time in saunas or steam baths and as an addition to muscle massage oils.

Warnings: Read the label carefully before use and follow the instructions for use! For external use only, not for ingestion. Do not apply undiluted to the skin. In normal (small) doses it is not irritating, but in larger doses it can cause irritation and sensitivity. The use during pregnancy is not recommended.
