Intended Use: For room scenting using a vaporizer.

Description and Uses: Obtained through steam distillation of patchouli leaves. It has a deep golden-brown color and a warm, earthy scent reminiscent of fruit. It has astringent properties, helps with nausea, depression, bloating, and neutralizing unpleasant odors. It assists in detoxification and water drainage from tissues, and can also be used as an aphrodisiac. It is excellent when combined with other, more expensive oils because it extends their longevity.

Oils with which it can be blended: Sandalwood, bergamot, cedarwood, rose, sweet orange, myrrh, and clary sage.

Fun Facts: Patchouli is a highly fragrant herb with soft leaves. It grows up to 1 meter in height and emits a distinctive patchouli scent when the leaves are rubbed. The color of the essential oil depends on the distillation method—if stainless steel vats are used, it is lighter, whereas iron vats yield a darker color. In the perfume industry, patchouli's scent typically intensifies with aging, making aged oil more prized than freshly prepared oil.
