Intended Use: For room scenting using a vaporizer.

Description and Uses: Obtained through steam distillation of the flowering oregano plant. It has a pale yellow color and a characteristic spicy-herbal, warm scent. It relieves pain and inflammation and strengthens the immune system. It increases joint and muscle mobility and has a beneficial effect on the respiratory system. It is used in products for nail fungus, acne, and mouth ulcers. It acts as an antioxidant and helps fight free radicals.

Oils with which it can be blended: Lavender, rosemary, bergamot, chamomile, cypress, Himalayan cedarwood, tea tree, and eucalyptus.

Fun Facts: Oregano is a bushy herb that grows up to 1 meter tall, featuring dark green oval leaves and pinkish-white flowers. Native to Europe, it is now cultivated in many countries worldwide. Some people confuse it with marjoram because they are related and have similar Latin names. It is mentioned in 5,000-year-old writings; legend says it was created by the goddess Venus, and Aphrodite was very fond of using it. Even before the Greeks, the Phoenicians and Assyrians wrote about its medicinal properties. Otherwise, it is heavily used in Mediterranean cuisine—especially Italian—and is an indispensable spice for pizza.
