Intended Use: For room scenting using a vaporizer.

Description and Uses: Obtained from benzoin resin by extraction and is golden-brown in color. It has a warm, sweet scent reminiscent of vanilla. Benzoin essential oil is very thick, as it is a naturally fragrant resin. Therefore, it is intentionally packaged in a bottle without a dropper, since the contents would not flow out through such a small opening.

You can extract the oil or resin from the bottle by inserting a wooden stick or toothpick into it and pulling out the desired amount.

It acts against inflammation, depression, unpleasant odors, and gas problems, while providing a calming effect, helping with expectoration and superficial wounds. It can be used as an aid for bronchitis, coughs, colds, acne or eczema, psoriasis, rheumatism, arthritis, scars, circulation, stress, and muscle pain.

Oils with which it can be blended: bergamot, coriander, frankincense, juniper, lavender, lemon, myrtle, orange, rose, and sandalwood.

Fun Facts: The benzoin tree is native to Java, Sumatra, and Thailand, and grows up to 8 meters tall. Uniform incisions are made in the trunk, after which a grayish milky fluid flows out. It dries and hardens in the air, and is then gathered from the trees. Benzoin is one of the classic ingredients for incense, and in ancient civilizations, it was used for fumigation. It was also frequently used for respiratory problems.
